I hate bookstores as much I can hate. First of all, because I spent tones of money on books. I have never read most of them since they were bought. Second, I spent hours of time walking between shelves and staring at books.

Unfortunately, there are few books really interesting for reading. This is my personal opinion and my personal taste. Since my childhood I indeed read only technical books and now the situation is still the same. But in the current moment my recent books are mostly about building and demolition.
